# FOR SA > FOR SA, also known as Freedom of Religion South Africa, is a South African non-profit legal advocacy organisation that protects and promotes the constitutional right to religious freedom. FOR SA works to defend freedom of religion, belief, conscience, expression and association in South Africa. The organisation engages with Government, Parliament, Chapter 9 institutions, courts, media, faith communities and the public on matters affecting religious freedom. FOR SA is faith neutral, doctrinally neutral and politically neutral. It defends the rights of people of all faiths, as well as those who hold no faith.
