FAQs ON LEVEL 1 REGULATIONS: PLACES OF WORSHIP

Dear Friend,

Many churches, mosques, synagogues and temples have welcomed the announcement that religious gatherings are allowed to re-open under Lockdown Level 1 – albeit subject to numeric restrictions and stringent requirements for administrative, hygiene, sanitation and social distancing protocols to be in place.

However, it is evident, from the number of enquiries that FOR SA has received, that there remain many questions in this regard. We have therefore done our best to respond to these questions in our document “FAQs on Level 1 Regulations: Places of Worship”, which we encourage you to download from the FOR SA website.

You are welcome to forward this email to those who may also find this information helpful.

We trust that you will find this document helpful and – if so – that you will consider making a financial donation to FOR SA.  FOR SA depends entirely upon voluntary donations and financial support to enable us to continue our work to protect and promote our constitutional rights to religious freedom. We do not have any “members”, so we do not charge any fees.

We, therefore, encourage and appeal to those who we support through our work to consider, in turn, how you can support the work of FOR SA

Our bank account details are as follows:

Account name:FOR SABank:ABSAAccount #:4062114352Branch code:  632005

Your donation can take the form of either:

  • A monthly contribution for a fixed term of 6 – 12 months (ideal as it assists us to budget); or
  • A “once-off” donation.

Note:   Since February 2020, FOR SA can issue section 18A receipts which entitle tax-paying donors (individuals and “for-profit” organisations) to claim tax deductions.
