Union Buildings Pretoria

On 30 January 2017, FOR SA, representing 5 million+ people (including many of the major churches, denominations and faith groups) in South Africa, submitted its comments on the draft Prevention and Combating of Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Bill (“the Bill”) to the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development. A copy of the Submission can be downloaded below. (The deadline for comments on the Bill was 31 January 2017. This is just the first round however. When the Bill comes before Parliament, there will be a further opportunity to comment and make representations).
