Attorney Madelein Botha is the head of the Intellectual Property Department, serving both local and international clients in areas such as trademarks, designs, patents, copyright, and domain registration. She also handles litigation in the Magistrate’s Court and High Court.
In addition to her expertise in intellectual property law and litigation, Madelein provides administrative law and general statutory compliance services to her clients.
Madelein has extensive knowledge and experience in the following areas of law: intellectual property law (prosecution and litigation), general litigation, commercial law, contracts, family law, collections, the National Credit Act, legal costs, liquor legislation (both provincial and national), the Consumer Protection Act, and constitutional law. She is also a registered tax practitioner and assists clients with a range of tax-related matters.
