Comments on the draft Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Bill are due on Tuesday, 31 January 2017.
FOR SA, on behalf of its signed-up members, will be submitting a comprehensive submission to the Department of Justice. On request of various churches, denominations and faith groups however, and in an effort to assist them, FOR SA has also prepared an example submission which you are welcome to use as is (and just copy/paste the contents onto your organisation’s own letterhead / individual e-mail, and filling in a few additional details to personalise the submission), OR to use the document as background information to write up your own submission. (For practical tips on writing submissions, visit https://forsa.org.za/practical-tips-writing-submissions-to-government-parliament/).
