Alternatives to the CRL's proposed Regulation of Religion
In this video, Freedom of Religion South Africa (FOR SA) explains why the CRL Rights Commission’s proposed regulation of religion is unconstitutional, unnecessary and unworkable. FOR SA puts forward viable alternatives for self-regulation and in particular, encourages voluntary accountability to religious networks and fraternals.
CRL's proposed Regulation of Religion: Chronology of Events
In this video, Freedom of Religion South Africa (FOR SA) gives a brief overview of the CRL Rights Commission’s report on the “Commercialisation” of Religion and Abuse of People’s Belief Systems (including the CRL’s proposal for the regulation of religion), and the chronology of events that followed their report up and until the CRL’s National Consultative Conference (NCC) in February 2019 where a resolution was adopted for the CRL to continue its process to “control” religious practitioners.
Freedom of Religion South Africa (FOR SA) is dedicated to protecting and preserving the freedoms and rights that the South African Constitution has granted to the faith community.
